March Newsletter '11

Greetings,

February was the month of love, Valentine's Day, Emily's Birthday and reuniting with our beloved students again! This past month we hosted our good friends Jeff and Chandra Larson and presently Matt and Sukey Lynskey.

Old Testament with Jeff

Jeff Larson is the Missions Pastor at FBC Frisco, one of our sending churches. He and I became good friends during our time together at FBC and as students at DTS. Out of humility he would deny it, but Jeff is a skilled teacher and very competent at charting the story of the Old Testament.

For 2 weeks we enjoyed journeying through all 39 books of the OT. The students were eager to return to class after the long Christmas break, and as the saying proves true "distance makes the heart grow fonder," we relished our time reuniting with everyone again in the classroom.

Chandra was such a blessing to Emily. To have another mom with a toddler around is a sweet kind of fellowship for her. We were truly thankful for their investment in our mission and their friendship in our lives.

Update

We are on the last lap down in Rock Sound. My very good friend Matt Lynskey is here with with his family Sukey and their twin girls! He is serving as our instructor for our final class before graduation, "Missions, Evangelism, and Discipleship." We are enjoying every minute with them staying with us and stay tuned to next month's posts for our time with them.

In addition to their visit, we've also got a slew of folks coming in this month: our new friends from Cedarville (staying in Gregory Town), Delora Lemaster, the Tatums, Paul Voss and his family, Dave Hawkins for graduation, and a small team from Cedarville University (I'm sure I'm forgetting someone… it just going to be so busy)! On top of all that, as I've already alluded to, we've got graduation planned for Rock Sound on the 12th - so please be praying for us with all thats going on! Stay tuned to the website for all the pictures and forthcoming details from Graduation!

Praise for the sweet time we've recently had with our visiting teachers, Jeff and Matt
Praise for the undeserved love and support from our home church
Praise that Lord has saw us through 2 years of classes in Rock Sound

Please pray for the many details and planning for the next few weeks
Pray for the Lynskey twins that they stay healthy during their time away from immediate healthcare options
Pray for the ministry and the impact we're making on the island, especially to reach those who might enroll with us as new students for the fall
