5.01.10 - Finger Painting Day - by Emily

Micah got finger paints for Christmas, and we're just now getting around to using them! I am all for messy fun!

We taped up the paper to the table, and put paints on the paper plate, stripped Micah to his diaper, and let him go!

He had lots of fun! I have to admit that he is not as much of an artist as he is sports enthusiast, but anything messy he loves! His favorite color is yellow! Many times throughout the painting I had to replace the yellow paint! He also knows blue and red, but he hasn't learned green yet.

When he finished he was ready for the bathtub. His hands, legs, and belly were all painted!

More updates on Micah -
He's 35 and a half inches tall! He's wearing 2T clothes right now, and his feet are huge! He says lots of words, and a few short phrases every once in a while. My new favorite word is "Hooray!"

He spends a lot of time outside now that we have a yard for him to play in. He is working on learning to stay in our yard. Him and Tag venture out together though frequently and we have to round them back into where they are supposed to be. We started "room time" which he hates! He cries for most of the half hour that he is in there even though he has tons of toys! He doesn't like to be alone.

The other day he was out in the yard while I did laundry, and he came to me, smile the biggest smile ever, and handed me a flower that he picked! I had a shirt on that had flowers on it, and he pointed to one and said "See!" It was so very cute!
He also loves to do "noses" which is eskimo kisses! It's my favorite! Real kisses are great too!

Another favorite time is still praying each night with all three of us together. He loves to pray with us! He is however growing out of the reading books at night phase. I only get a short bible story in now before he is ready to do something else. I still love reading to him though!

He's the most wonderful little boy in the world! I can't believe he's two years old! He thinks he's three already, but I'm not ready for time to pass so quickly. I am thankful for every minute with him!
