10.20.10 - Vosses, Foxes, and Gaithers

Its Board Meeting time of year again! Which means we're fortunate to have our Director and CPA come to the island, however this time Paul brought his wife Lisa back and David Gaither brought his daughter to visit. Not only did we have Paul and Lisa and the Gaithers, but the Fox family: Brad, Alicia, Tristan, Evelyn, and baby #3-on-the-way are on the island because Brad is teaching our course #8 - Teaching Methods in Rock Sound.

While there is always more to see on the island after you've been away for a while, it was especially nice to have Lisa back. It had been 2 years since she was here, and she commented on how "somethings have changed, but many things have stayed the same."

The Board Meeting was fantastic. This year we had to elect two new members to replace those rolling off, and we got two very Godly men: Wayne Ingraham from Tarpum Bay and Pastor Luc Noel from Palmetto Point.

In talking with Paul and Lisa afterwards they commented on how for years, while they where here as missionaries, they had been praying for the Training to reach into the south and the Haitian community. Now, we've got a business leader from the south and a Haitian pastor on the board.

All in all the board meeting was a chance to take inventory of the state of the ministry in the Bahamas. And holistically, it can be seen how God has been meticulously guiding and leading our ministry into what it has become today.

We look forward in anticipation to what it will look like tomorrow, and all the while we invite you to pray with us - that God would keep us dependent upon His leadership and that we as directors and missionaries would be Spirit led in our activities and relationships.
