4.23.09 - Micah Turns One

We had a great Birthday Party for Micah when his grandparents were still here, but it wasn't on his real birthday. So, here's the real party!

We had Brad and Alicia and their kids come over to play with Micah. However before the swimsuits went on we had sugar-icing-birthday-cupcakes.

Emily did a great job making a bunch of yummy mini cakes, and we all sang "Happy Birthday" to Micah as he got to tear into another sweet treat (although I didn't let him finish all the icing).

The party was a Blue Circles theme, because blue is Micah's favorite color, and he has this little round blue toy that he just loves.

After the candle and cake it was into his new pool which we got him for his birthday. It seriously is a great pool that is so much cooler than anything I remember a kiddy-pool being: it has a slide, two sections (a shallow and a deep end), two palm trees, and a pink dolphin that sprays water!

He got lots of other presents from his family, like blocks, and cars and new outfits. So far his favorite is the puzzle cars and the fire truck and ambulance. Thank you to everyone who set presents over for him.

We were fortunate to have Aunt Kari still here for his party, and having everyone visit just reminds you how special family really is.

I'm so glad that his birthday will always fall around Spring Break, so that hopefully we can have family visit as often as possible as he grows.
