8.5.09 - The Flunker Grandma Visit

We've been waiting for a few months, and finally Grandma Flunker made it back down to the island. Even though her last visit was only a few months ago, it seemed like its been a while, and the week she was here was felt so short.

Even though she would come down to see all of us, we all know that Micah is her favorite attraction. Unfortunately however Micah was sick most of the time she was there. But that partly worked out because he is much more cuddly when he is not feeling well. Grandma got lots of Micah-time.

She took the whole family out to dinner one night, and then I also got to go out on a date night with her. We had a great time together, and even though it was a busy week she said that it was a great trip.

I have to say that whenever I'm around my mom or dad, I'm grateful for them, and that God gave me such loving parents; and Micah such loving grandparents. Mom made waffles as she often did when I was a kid... it was nice to have a bit of home - and we've even still have reminders "leftover" in the fridge!
