6.11.08 - The Crosses and Arboretum

This past week we had Emily’s Aunt and Uncle come to visit us here in Dallas. It wasn’t their first time to the big “D,” but it was the first time that we’ve been able to see them here.

Mike and Susan had us stay with them in NC shortly after we first got married, so it had been a while since we’d been able to see them. However, let’s be honest here – they’re really not coming to see us: they’re really coming to see the baby.

One of our favorite things to do with family, when visit, is to take them to the Dallas Arboretum. So, as well as it being Mike and Susan’s first trip to the Arboretum, it was Micah’s first trip too! And, of course one of the main things you do at the Arboretum is take pictures; somehow we discovered that it was fun to put Micah in the middle of the flower beds and take his picture as he stretched, but flower pictures are probably not the most manly, he is still really cute though.

We had some great discussions, good food, and a fantastic time with them. And even though it was a short trip it was wonderful to spend time with them again. Having family with you always makes wherever you are feel more like home.
