5.31.11 - The Cowboy's Stadium

It the largest dome in the world, and the largest NFL stadium in America! We recently had the privilege of touring the stadium on some VIP tickets from a good friend, and I'm still in amazement at the triumph of the human capacity to create what it can dream.

Of course Dallas residents are Dallas Cowboy fans, and yet (as much as I like the Cowboys now) I am a Green Bay Packer Fan. Ultimately this played perfectly into our tour since it was the Packers who were recently declared World Champions in the Superbowl hosted here in Dallas.

We got to see the entire stadium, from the box seats to the press box, the locker rooms to the tunnel that Green Bay ran through.

Most stunning was the enormous TV that they have. There simply aren't words to describe it: colossal, absurdly colossal. While our tour guide was talking, I couldn't even listen to her b/c the distraction factor of the giant TV screen was insurmountable. For those who understand the reference, they've clearly turned the dial for TV extravaganza up to 11.

Micah had fun (once he got some juice). He totally ran laps around the Cowboys locker room. All in all it was a very fun trip and a chance to take in some of the best Texas has to offer while making some fun family memories.
