March Newsletter '07
Greetings,
Well March has gone out like a lion, or perhaps as a Chick-fil-a Cow (see below), either way this has been an extremely busy month for us. In this prayerletter you’ll read about how the Lord keeps providing for work and school, how laundry get low priority, and how the ministry in Eleuthera continues.

Eleuthera Trip
“It was the best trip ever!” This is what I keep telling our friends who ask. Although I hate the hassles of traveling, our trip was more than worth it. Not only did we get to record 8 hours of video tape for our upcoming “Mission Promotional Video,” but we got to spend some wonderful time with both Dave Hawkins and Brad and Alicia Fox.
This trip, more than any, has served to confirm the potential for developing a great missions-team to all serve on staff in Eleuthera. We are excited about the future, and we’re anxiously looking forward to serving; somehow it has sneaked up on us, but we’re only little more than ONE YEAR away from full-time missions.
If you’ve checked our website anytime after the middle of March you’ll be up-to-date on how our trip was. However, if you haven’t checked it out yet, you can read about our experiences from our most recent trip to Eleuthera:

The Lord's Provision – SPECIAL from Emily
God is our provider! Time and time again He has shown Himself faithful in providing everything we need. As you know I, Emily, work at Chick-fil-a. I love working there! Recently the Lord has provided a new opportunity in the company. The Marketing Director, who is a friend of mine, is pregnant, and she will be having a baby this summer. While she is on leave I will get to do her job, which is so great because I love doing marketing things! I will have a summer job that I love and it will provide some needed funds for us for the next year. It's a super big blessing! Chick-fil-a is a great place to work! The people are so friendly!
Ryan gets to help out sometimes too, which he did today. He was the cow for two carnivals, but he got beat up and the kids pulled his tail off. He's a trooper! I am blessed to have him!
Emily writes a daily JOURNAL, check it out HERE.

Update
As I’ve (Ryan, again) already mentioned, March was a very busy month. Eleuthera was non-stop planning to make sure we got everything done that we needed to, and saw everyone we needed to see. Then when you’re gone for a week in the middle of full-time work and school there’s a lot of catching-up that needs to happen. All that adds up to extra long days and sleepy long nights (as I write this I’m trying to finish up our last load of laundry before bed, as we’ve been gone this Saturday all day long). But we are most thankful. As I told my good friend and missionary colleague, Dave Hawkins, “It’s fun being a grown-up and having lots of responsibilities, however along with those responsibilities come the wear and tear of deadlines and demands.” All things considered, it’s been a great month, but we’re ready for April.

Prayers and Praises
Praise: Thank you to everyone who was praying for our trip to Eleuthera this March, we totally felt and experienced the blessings of God on this trip
Praise for Emily’s new Marketing Position for this Summer
Praise God for the wonderful showers we’ve been having and the sweet cool temperatures
Praise for our friends at DTS and how the Lord keeps enabling us to minister downtown
Praise for the first month without disabling injuries (except I think I may have a broken thumb and forefinger)
Please pray for safe travel this upcoming month, we’ve got two trips planned
Pray for Brad and Alicia in Eleuthera, and for Brad’s ministry to our friend Mono
Pray for endurance to all those involved in the ministry – it can be very lonely at times
Pray for the endurance to get through the rigors of DTS as the semester winds down
Pray for Emily as she diligently continues to teach her kids each week
Finally, you can pray for us as we are so busy. We’re still getting the time together that we need, but the fabric of life is easily torn when you’re stretched so tight, and we don’t want to take the Lord’s graces for granted
